- We will bring an element of cinema to these documentary videos and give the videos a self-assured watch ability, a particular draw by the use of the camera and lighting.
- We will interview the Veterans in their personal setting, their homes, offices, their favorite spot, or a place that defines who they are. • The B-roll will be candid views into the lives of the Veterans. We will use the pre-interview to discover life activities in which to capture the Veterans.
- We will leverage natural lighting, giving the video a natural look. While, we may use lights to augment natural light, the lighting won’t feel staged or forced.
- The interviews will be candid and conversational.
- We will seek out interviews with individuals close to the Veterans to gain another perspective on the Veterans’ struggle with PTSD.
- We will select music that will support the images, but not overpower the natural emotion of the scenes.
- Where needed we will leverage stock or found footage to enhance the story. This could be stock footage of the conflict or found footage of the subjects’ childhood.
- Graphic titles will deliver information such as Veteran’s name, location, rank, etc. The titles will be elegantly designed so as not to distract from the story.
- The subject of the current wars is a touchy subject which can take many avenues. We will work to keep the conversations with the Veterans focused on their challenge of re-entering civilian life.
